Enhancing Palliative Care Competency
Join our comprehensive Hospice New Zealand Syringe Driver Competency Course designed to empower Registered and Enrolled Nurses in aged residential care or private hospitals with knowledge and skills in using syringe drivers within a palliative care framework. The course is a mixed delivery course with participants completing an online component first before attending a practical workshop.
Step 1 - Sign up to Knowledge Hub to complete the online learning component.
This online learning component takes roughly 2 hours to complete and can be completed at your own pace. All sections of the online learning must be completed including online assessments before you are eligible to attend a workshop.
Step 2 – Book a workshop to complete the practical component.
If you are in the Hamilton or Cambridge area, please chose a workshop date below. All workshops are held onsite at Hospice Waikato. There is a cost of $40 per participant. Workshops usually take 1 ½ hours to complete. For those outside of Hamilton or Cambridge please contact us at [email protected] to organise a workshop in your area.
