Meet our Team

We have heard the communities of the Waikato describe our people as angels, as people who absolutely know the right time to listen, to laugh or to talk, and as those people who make the end of life significantly better for not only the patient, but for their whānau and their own communities. Our staff do this simply, with kindness and compassion, and an amazing sense of knowing what is needed.

It’s not just about our patient facing team of Doctors, Nurses and Health Care Assistants, Counsellors and Social Workers, our Spiritual Care Co-ordinator; our Occupational Therapist or our Kaiāwhina; these people are supported by an administration and retail team who are resilient and dedicated – and who enable our clinical teams to do what they do best.

Whilst it’s not possible to include a photo of every single member of our amazing Hospice Waikato team on our website, we did want to take a moment to acknowledge each and every one of them for the role they play in enabling us to deliver specialist community palliative care. Their commitment to our organisation is humbling.
