A huge thank you to Farmers New Zealand

Date: 3 Feb 2026

The annual Farmers Christmas Campaign has once again delivered an outstanding result for hospices nationwide, raising vital funds to help ensure compassionate end-of-life care is accessible in communities across New Zealand.

This year, customers and staff at the five Farmers stores in the Waikato—Centre Place, Te Awa The Base, Chartwell Square, Matamata and Thames—raised an impressive $77,110.27 for Hospice Waikato. The result reflects the generosity of the region, with thousands of shoppers purchasing Farmers limited-edition Christmas baubles, making donations at the counter, and writing remembrance cards for the in-store Trees of Remembrance.

Hospice Waikato Chief Executive Alex Gordon said the support would have a meaningful impact locally.

“We are incredibly grateful to Farmers for their long-standing partnership and commitment to supporting hospice care across New Zealand. Every donation helps keep hospice care free and accessible for those who need it most, and this support will make a real difference for families in the Waikato.”

Now in its twelfth year, the Farmers Christmas Campaign has raised more than $9.5 million in total, helping ensure anyone with a life-limiting illness can access hospice care.
