Volunteer

Volunteers are essential to the work of Hospice Waikato. Every year, hundreds of people donate their time and talent to help Hospice continue its work in the community.

Volunteers are essential to the work of Hospice Waikato. We have more than 750 volunteers who donate their time to a variety of areas working alongside staff to enhance the quality of life for patients and their families. Volunteers are an important part of the Hospice team and without them we would be unable to offer our varied range of services and support.

Volunteers help with anything from administration tasks, in our Hospice shops, to fundraising events in the wider community. Some volunteers support the work of our charity on a regular basis, while others support our events and fundraising activities throughout the year. We value our volunteers, and support them with training for the areas in which they choose to work.
