Retail Manager - Cambridge

Hospice Waikato is an organisation focused on leading the way in the growing specialist field of community palliative care. We are totally committed to providing patient focused, highly professional care, for Waikato people living with life limiting or life-threatening illnesses and for those who support them. We have 8 retail stores throughout the Waikato region. These stores sell a range of quality recycled goods including furniture, clothing, shoes, bedding, books, home ware, bric-a-brac and more. Revenue generated from retail sales ensures that we can continue providing high quality palliative care within the Waikato region.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and motivated Retail Manager to join our Cambridge store on a permanent basis, 35 hours per week. This is a new position that will be responsible for the day to day management and operation of the store. You will lead and be supported by a fantastic team of volunteers, working to drive sales, deliver outstanding customer service and ensure the operational success of the store.

• Have proven experience leading and motivating a team – preferably within a retail environment
• Be physically fit, lifting and moving goods and furniture is required
• Be resilient, positive and people oriented
• Have strong communication and customer service skills
• Be able to work under pressure and prioritise tasks
• Have high visual merchandising standards
• Have a good knowledge of H&S at work requirements
• Be able to network and promote our store and Hospice Waikato’s mission within the community
