Registered Nurse - Community Nursing Service – Hamilton

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced nurse to join Hospice Waikato, one of the largest hospices in New Zealand, delivering high quality specialist holistic nursing care to patients and their families/whānau.

We are currently seeking Registered Nurses to join our highly motivated and enthusiastic Palliative Care Community Nursing Service - Hamilton Team on a permanent basis. Hours are negotiable (between 28 and 36 hours a week). Most shifts are Monday to Friday, but involvement in the evening, weekend and on-call roster is required.

You will receive on the job training and support from a great team of professionals, including Consultants and medical officers and a well-established community health and social care team, providing quality, holistic, personalised care for patients and families/whānau. Assistance with PDRP is available, as well as on going professional development from our education team. Post-graduate study is encouraged and supported. Staff parking is also available on site!

To be considered for this role and our organisation we are looking for someone who has:
• Registered Nurse qualification
• Registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand
• Current Annual Practicing Certificate with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
• Current full New Zealand driver’s license
• Experience in palliative care and/or community nursing
• Proficiency in the use of computers and digital technology
• A desire to learn and grow as an individual
