Farmers Trees of Remembrance

Date: Thursday, 14th November to Tuesday, 24th December 2019

Our Trees of Remembrance are an opportunity to remember family and friends who are longer with us during the lead up to Christmas. Everyone who donates will receive a card to write their message on, which they can then place on the dedicated Remembrance Tree that is in each Farmers store.

Farmers have been generous in hosting the trees in all of their stores across New Zealand and ensuring that 100% of the funds donated go directly to local Hospice services throughout the country.

There are two ways that people can support Hospice at Farmers stores – via the Trees of Remembrance or by purchasing a specially designed hand-painted bauble with a beautiful new design.

Our Trees of Remembrance can be found at:

• Farmers Hamilton CBD
• Farmers Chartwell
• Farmers Te Rapa
• Farmers Matamata
• Farmers Thames

The remembrance message cards are left on the trees throughout the campaign. After the 24th December, the remembrance cards will be collected by Hospice staff where they will be cremated and blessed by our spiritual coordinator then planted in our remembrance garden on-site. The idea of burying the remembrance card ashes is to give life to the plants in the garden, allowing those who visit Hospice Waikato to enjoy them all year long.
