To make a lasting difference in our community, is at the heart of Kelvyn’s role as CEO of Momentum Waikato. Momentum Waikato is building a regional endowment, $300M over 30 years, and leading transformational projects including the Waikato Regional Theatre project.

On returning to NZ in 2016 Kelvyn was General Manager of City Growth for Hamilton City Council. Under this portfolio Kelvyn was responsible for leading the Council’s response to development growth and the economy.

Prior to this Kelvyn was the Chief of Staff in the Jakarta office for Newmont Mining Corporation. From Jakarta Kelvyn oversaw the government relations and renegotiation of the contract of work with the Government of Indonesia and the environmental and social programmes of the operation on Sumbawa Island which employed a 7000 strong workforce.

For five years Kelvyn was based in Perth as Asia Pacific Manager External Affairs overseeing government, media, communications and development programmes across mining operations in five countries and carried out these roles for the New Zealand operations when based at Newmont Waihi operations for 3 years previously.
