Hospice Waikato provides education for community groups and health care professionals who care for patients who are dying and their family/whanau.
We teach carers who work in rest homes about palliative care for their patients and we assist registered staff to reach competency with syringe drivers. We also run study days for our volunteers. Below is information on the education we provide.

We also work with other specialist palliative care organisations in Midland (covering Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Eastern Bay of Plenty, Rotorua and Taupo regions) to develop and deliver education programmes that support best practice palliative care. The Midland education calendar provides information and contact details for sessions offered in these regions.
